Skin Therapies

Learn what therapies can rebuild skin and repair the effects of aging skin. Skin therapies can be combined in different ways to achieve healthier, more radiant skin. In this training, you will learn the differences in the skin therapies and how to decide which therapy is right for what skin type and skin condition as well as practice on models to understand their result on the skin. This training is ideal for licensed estheticians or cosmetologists looking to work in a medical spa setting.

The skin therapies we will be covering are:

  • Microcurrent
An innovative treatment that involves low-level currents to mimic the body’s natural current and can be used to achieve facial contouring, toning, and firming.
  • Nanocurrent
A treatment that involves multi-frequency currents to mimic the body’s natural current and includes ionization to push ingredients deeper into the skin.
  • Cryotherapy
A “cold therapy” technique where the skin is exposed to liquid nitrogen for several minutes which jumpstarts the skin’s natural healing and rejuvenation processes.
  • Ultrasound
Ultrasonic therapy uses high-level sound waves to jumpstart collagen production, reduce inflammation, and promote blood circulation.
  • Radio-Frequency
Radio-frequency utilizes heat energy waves that helps with tissue remodeling and production of elastin and collagens that gradually tightens the skin.

*A light breakfast and lunch is included.
